9-Day China Winter Tour

Tour Overview
The majestic Longqing Gorge, 80km outside Beijing, is the scene for the annual Ice and Snow Festival, a colourful fiesta of ice and light. Massive blocks of ice are carved into animals, lanterns and figures of all shapes and sizes. It is a highlight of this winter tour. Also, on the trip, you will enjoy skiing in the top ski resort in Northern China and some world heritage sites in Beijing.

Day 1 Arrive in Beijing (no meals)
Meet your guide and driver at the airport, and then transfer to the hotel. Rest of the day is at leisure.

Day 2 Beijing (B, L, D)
Morning half-day tour of the Temple of Heaven.  Afternoon visit the Summer Palace. Cantonese food for dinner.

Day 3 Beijing (B, L, D)
Morning explore the Tiananmen Square and the Forbidden City.  Jiaozi (Chinese dumpling) for lunch. Proceed to the Lama Temple, and the Confucius Temple. After dinner optional trip to enjoy tea and traditional show at the Lao She Teahouse.

Day 4 Beijing (B, L, D)
Make an excursion to the Mutianyu Great Wall. Later visit the Spirit Way and the Changling Tomb (one of the Ming Tombs). Beijing hot pot for dinner.

Day 5 Beijing (B, L, D)
Today tour to the Beijng Hutongs (by rickshaw), and have lunch at local Beijingers' home, learn how to do the paper-cutting with the native people. Enjoy Beijing Roast Duck dinner and then go in the Beijing Bar Street.

Day 6 Beijing (B)
Free explore Beijing City on your own.

Around 5:30 pm, you are picked up to the Longqing Gorge (about 1 hour drive) - the venue of the Longqingxia ice and snow festival, where you will enjoy the ice and snow sculptures, and the fantastic ice lantern show for about 2 hours. Drive back to your hotel in Beijing downtown around 10:00 pm. 

Day 7 Beijing/Nanshan Ski Resort (B)
Pick up from your hotel around 10:00am to the Beijing Nanshan Ski Resort. And the drive takes about two hours. First check-in and stay at Shirton Inn beside the Nanshan Ski Resort. Nanshan Ski Resort is situated in the Miyun County, north-east of Beijing. It boasts the largest and best equipped Ski Resort in Northern China at present. There are 11 ski runs which fit various skiers. You will enjoy 4-hour ski at the ski resort.

Day 8 Nanshan Ski Resort/Beijing (B, L)
After breakfast, continue to have 4-hour carefree ski at Nanshan Ski. After skiing, have Chinese lunch. Then head to the Chunhuiyuan Hot Springs Resorts for relaxation. After taking a bath in the hot springs pools for about 2 hours, you will be transfered to your hotel in Beijing

Day 9 Beijing/Exit (B)
After breakfast, be escorted to the airport for the flight to your next destination.
