11-Day China Photo Tour

Tour Overview
Mt. Huangshan, world cultural heritage villages, hike through the awesome terraced rice fields to visit the minorities villages, cruise on the beautiful Li River, enjoy biking in the karst countryside, bamboo rafting on the picturesque Yulong River, have Chinese cooking course in the farmer's house, taste the bamboo baked rice...everything in this photo tour package will be enjoyable and interesting!

Day 1 Arrive in Shanghai (no meals)
Meet your guide at the airport and transfer to the hotel. Remainder of the day is on your own arrangement.

Day 2 Shanghai (B, L)
Visit the Shanghai Museum and the Jade Buddha Temple at a.m.. Proceed to visit the Yu Garden and the Yuyuan Market at p.m.. After dinner, enjoy the wonderful Chinese acrobatics show.

Day 3 Shanghai / Huangshan (B, L, D)
After breakfast, you will walk down the Bund along the Huangpu River and visit Nanjing Lu. Later on, drive to the airport for your flight to Huangshan. Meet your Huangshan guide and transfer to the hotel.

Day 4 Mt. Huangshan (B, L)
 Mt. Huangshan is known as the heaven of photography enthusiasts. This morning we will drive there and ascend the summit of the mountain via a cable car. We have a tour of the North Sea Scenery and take some pictures of the Start-to-believe Peak, Lion Peak, Bright Summit Peak and the Rock That Flew from Afar. If weather permits, we will enjoy the spectacular sunset. Stay overnight in the mountain.

Day 5 Mt. Huangshan / Hangzhou (B, L)
Get up in the early morning to catch the beautiful sunrise. After breakfast, take cable car down the mountain and transfer to Yixian County to visit the Hongcun and Xidi villages. Drive back to Huangshan to visit the Tunxi Old Street. Transfer to Hangzhou and check into the hotel.

Day 6 Hangzhou / Guilin (B)
Visit West Lake, Dragon Well Tea Plantation, Six Harmony Pagoda. you are escorted to the airport for the flight to Guilin. Be met and transferred to the hotel. The rest of the day is at leisure.

Day 7 Li River Cruise / Yangshuo (B, L)
Be picked up to enjoy a downstream cruise (3.5-5hrs) on the Li River. The limpid river is flanked by  stunning karst mountains and beautiful villages, and the ship will offer you very good  location for photographing. Disembark in Yangshuo and visit the West Street. After dinner, enjoy a fantastic ethnic show performed in the Li River -Impression Liu Sanjie.

Day 8 Yangshuo (B, L, D)
Morning enjoy a countryside biking tour and then raft down the Yulong River. Ride back to yangshuo, your guide and cooking teacher will lead you to a local market to buy meat and vegetables. In the cooking school, you will have a cooking course to learn how to cook Chinese food.

Day 9 Yangshuo / Guilin / Longsheng (B, L)
Drive back to Guilin to visit the Reed Flute Cave. After lunch, visit the Elephant Trunk Hill. Later transfer to Longsheng (89km) and stay overnight in Ping'an Village.

Note: For your dinner in Ping'an, the bamboo rice you are highly recommended to taste as it is very delicious. The food is mixed with some beans, peanut or vegatables and baked in a Bamboo Tube. Nearly all the family restaurants serve this special food.

Day 10 Hiking in Longsheng / Guilin (B, L)
Today, we'll have a lot of opportunities to take some photos of the ethinc people in traditional costumes. We hike (about 4-5hrs) from Ping'an to Dazhai. We walk through several Yao people's villages and enjoy the breathtaking views of the terraced rice fields. Drive back to Guilin from Dazhai.

Note: If you don't like hiking from Ping'an to Dazhai, we can adjust the itinerary. We will drive from Ping'an to Dazhai and some other ethnic villages.

Day11 Guilin / Departure (B)
Be free until you are escorted to the airport for the flight to your next destination.
