Tour Overview
Enjoy a unique experience in China. From the victoria Peak to the beautiful karst landscape in Guilin, from the great wall in Beijing to the 2010 Expo site in Shanghai...
Day 1 Arrive in Hong Kong (no meals)
Meet your guide and driver at the airport or the causeway of the wharf (if you reach HK by the international passenger ship). Remainder of the day is at your own leisure at the hotel.
Day 2 Hong Kong (B, L)
Visit the Victoria Peak, the Aberdeen, the Stanley Market and the Repulse Bay. After a dim sum lunch on the Jumbo Floating Restaurant, the guide will escort you to transform to the airport for the flight to Guilin. Meet your Guiliin local guide at the airport and then transfer to the hotel.
Day 3 Guilin/Yangshuo (B, L, D)
After breakfast, the driver and guide will take you to the Zhujiang Pier to cruise down the Li River to Yangshuo, it will take you 3-5 hours to enjoy the most beautiful karst landscape in the world. And you will have lunch on board and disembark in Yangshuo town. Visit the West Streets. After dinner, watch the Cormorants Catching Fish Show or the fantastic show Impression Sister Liushanjie on the Li River (the shows are optional).
Day 4 Yangshuo (B, L, D)
After breakfast, your guide will rent bikes with you to visit the karst countryside, then bamboo rafting down the Yu Long River and then have lunch at a famous local restaurant. In the afternoon, you will have a special cooking class in a Yangshuo cooking shcool. Your guide and the teacher take you to a local market to buy meat, vegetables and seasoning, they teach you how to cook the authentic Chinese cuisine.
Day 5 Yangshuo/Guilin (B, L)
Drive back to Guilin to visit the Reed Flute Cave. After lunch, visit the Yao Hill and the tea plantation under the hill.
Day 6 Longsheng/Guilin (B, L)
Drive to Longsheng to visit the Dazhai Village and the Ping'an Village. In the villages, where the mountains are covered with stunning terraced rice fields, some of them reaching up to 1,000 m (3,300 ft) peaks. The fields are called Longji or Dragon's Backbone Rice Terraces, which were built in 800 years ago by the Zhuang and Yao people. Drive back to Guilin.
Day 7 Guilin/Shanghai (B, L)
visit the symbol of Guilin - Elepaht Trunk Hill. Be escorted to take the afternoon flight to Shanghai. Meet the Shanghai local guide and transfer to the hotel.
Day 8 Shanghai (B, L, D)
Full day tour the Yu Garden, the Yuyuan Market, the Oriental Pearl TV Tower and the former French Concession - Xintiandi. In the evening watch acrobatic show at a local Theatre.
Day 9 Shanghai (B, L)
Drive about 1.5 hours to Zhou Zhuang Water Town (in Suzhou) to see the Shen Family Residence, Zhang Family Residence, the Mi Tower, and then have a river cruise through the village. Drive back to your hotel.
Day 10 Shanghai(B)
After breakfast, you will be accompanied to the Shanghai Expo site to have a full day exploration of the various pavillions. In the Expo site, you can enjoy your lunch, buy different Expo souvenirs or have the Expo Visa stamped in the differnent countries' pavilions. Drive back to the hotel.
Note: Standard day ticket holders can enter the Expo area once on any day except for peak days. (Standar day: from May 1 to Oct 31, 2010, excluding May 1 to 3, October 1 to 7 and October 25 to 31).
Day 11 Shanghai / Beijing (B, L)
Take the morning fight to Beijing. Beijing Roast duck for your lunch. Pay a visit to the Summer palace.
Day 12 Beijing (B L)
Pay a morning visit to the Temple of Heaven. In this world famous tourist site, not only can you know the ancient Chiese architectural facts but also see a lot of locals doing various morning activities, such as sword, Yangko or fans dancing, Taiji boxing, shuttlecock kicking etc.
After lunch, proceed to visit the Tiananmen Square and the Forbidden City. In the evening, enjoy the wonderful Kungfu show which is applauded madly in the Red Theater.
Day 13 Beijing (B, L, D)
After breakfast, drive to visit the Mutianyu Great Wall. After that, we have lunch at a local restaurant and transfer to see the Sacred Way and the Changling Tomb (one of the famous 13 Ming Tombs).
Day 14 Beijing / Depart (B)
Say 'Zaijian' (good-bye) to your guide and driver at the Beijing Capital International Airport.
