Origin: Chinese food enjoys a high reputation in the world. An old saying goes: “Guangzhou serves the best Chinese food.” The Guangzhou International Delicary Festival is a large concentrated review of the Guangzhou catering market. During the Delicacy Festival, all the restaurants and hotels promote their brand products, of which over 100 kinds of dished, cakes, snacks and new products will be selected as the award winners through public appraisal, keeping adding new varieties to Guangzhou’s prosperous catering trade. Starting from 1997, the Guangzhou Municipal People’s Government holds the delicacy festival every year, and the festival has constantly expanded its scale and influence in the past few years. With the passing of time, it has become an international, extensive, specialized and scientific tourism activity with the “food” as the mainstay, integrating catering, recreation, commerce, trade and tourism, and reflecting the distinctive local characteristics.

Chinese Export Commodities Fair (Guangzhou)
Time: Every spring and autumn
The Chinese Export Commodities Fair is also called the Canton Fair. It is held twice a year, in the spring and autumn, ever since it was inaugurated in 1957. It is China's largest and most prestigious trade fair, featuring the most complete variety of trade goods, which attract the largest attendance of fair-goers resulting in extensive business turnover. Preserving its traditions, the Fair is a comprehensive and multi-functional event of international importance.
48 Trading Delegations, composed of thousands of China's best foreign trade corporations (enterprises) with sound credibility and financial capability, take part in the Fair. These include foreign trade companies, factories, scientific research institutions, foreign invested enterprises, as well as wholly foreign-owned enterprises and private enterprises. Besides the traditional ways of negotiating, the Fair also does trading online. The Fair tends to favor exportable trade, although the import business is also well represented. Apart from these trading practices, various other types of business activities such as economic and technical cooperatives and exchanges, commodity inspection, insurance, transportation, advertising, and consultation are transacted during the Fair. Business people from all over the world gather in Guangzhou, with the goal of exchanging business information and developing networked friendships. Every year the Guangzhou Fair hosts 100,000 foreign exhibitors and buyers, with the trade volume reaching 27 billion US dollars. South China International Print Expo (Guangzhou)
Time: every spring
The long name of the South China International Print Expo is ‘the South China International Exhibition on Pre- Press and Printing Industry'. This expo was inaugurated in 1994 and currently has over a ten year history. The South China International Print Expo provides exhibitors with an ideal trading platform, as it displays their most advanced and unique products. The expo provides exhibitors and visitors alike exposure to the developing trends in the global press industry. For many years, with the support of governmental administrative departments in charge at various levels, as well as professional associations and exhibitors, this exhibition has developed into the professional press Expo with the largest scale and broadest influence in south China.
Guangzhou International Illumination Expo
The Guangzhou International Illumination Expo is the second largest in the world and the largest in Asia. Founded in 1996, the previous eight exhibitions were held in the hall of the China Export Commodities Fair in Guangzhou. Until the end of 2003, the German Frankfurt Exhibition Company had bought 50% shares of the Guangzhou Illumination Expo held by Guangya, Guangzhou. In 2004, both sides began to cooperate on the management of the exhibition. Owing to the participation of the Frankfurt Company, the Guangzhou International Illumination Expo has been developing quickly and attracting many professional buyers from over 100 countries and regions.
Guangzhou Cosmetic Expo
The Guangzhou Cosmetic Expo was founded in 1989. Since 1996, it is being held two times every year. The exhibition area is vast, over 60,000 square meters. Nearly 2,000 enterprises take part in the exhibition, with close to 200,000 professional visitors attending. After 16 years, its scale ranks second next to the Italia Cosmoprof International Cosmetic Expo. It's regarded as the first in Asia and the second in the world.
One month before and after the Guangzhou Cosmetic Expo, many Cosmetic enterprises in China and abroad organize and conduct hundreds of press conferences, seminars, and shows in Guangzhou and its surrounding regions. The Guangzhou Cosmetic Expo has become the largest platform for the display and exchange of information in the Cosmetic trade. At the same time, it's regarded as the most important and successful trading platform of its products. It's acclaimed as the "Guangzhou international cosmetic festival."
China (Guangzhou) International Automobile Exhibition
The China (Guangzhou) International Automobile Exhibition was founded in 2003. It is a high-level, comprehensive and international exhibition. The Guangzhou people's Government is a staunch supporter of the festival. The consumer market for automobiles in Guangdong Province comprises a third of all of China's. This industry has certainly been developing at a rapid pace, and takes advantage of the best exhibition hall in all of Asia in Guangzhou. For these reasons, the China (Guangzhou) International Automobile Exhibition has become one of China's best known motoring exhibitions after only three years of existence.
Culture Fair (Shenzhen)
The Culture Fair in Shenzhen is the China International Cultural Industry Fair. It is China's only State-level run cultural industry fair. It is hosted by the Ministry of Culture of the PRC, the State Administration of Radio, Film and Television of the PRC, the General Administration of Press and Publication of the PRC, the Guangdong Provincial People's Government and the Shenzhen Municipal People's Government; and is sponsored by the Shenzhen Press Group, the Shenzhen Media Group, the Shenzhen Circulation Group, and the Shenzhen International Cultural Industry Fair Co. Ltd. It is held in Shenzhen every May.
Hi-Tech Fair
The Hi-Tech Fair is China's International Hi-Tech Fair. It was founded in 1999. Approved by the State Council of the People's Republic of China, the China Hi-Tech Fair is jointly hosted by the Ministry of Commerce, the Ministry of Science and Technology of PRC, the Ministry of Information Industry of PRC, the National Development and Reform Commission of PRC, the Ministry of Education, the Chinese Academy of Sciences and the Shenzhen Municipal People's Government, and co-hosted by the Ministry of Agriculture of PRC. Zhurongji, Wubangguo, Lichangchun, Wuyi and some other leaders of the Party and state normally inaugurate the fair and host the opening ceremony at each event. The Hi-Tech Fair is a large scale exhibition that sees an increasing amount of business every year. It has become one of most well-known hi-tech fairs in the world.
In all previous fairs, different provinces (Autonomous regions, and Municipalities directly under the Central Government, as well as Special Administrative Regions of the People's Republic of China), over 30 universities, some related ministries and commissions and more than 50 countries such as America, Britain, Germany, and France participated in the Fair. Over 40 famous enterprises (including multinational corporations) displayed, traded and negotiated business including IBM, Intel, Siemens , Hitachi , Panasonic, Samsung, Epson, and Canon. Nearly 200 notables (including 13 Nobel laureates) from different fields in the world delivered meaningful lectures in the Hi-tech Forum. The China International Hi-Tech Fair is a, grand international forum for providing mutual benefiting and specialized Hi-Tech information to fair-goers. Because of these characteristics, it has become the most important window to the outside world of the Chinese hi-tech industry, and the most effective trading platform of Chinese hi-tech achievements.
China (zhuhai) Air Show
The China Air Show is the only international aerospace exhibition in China that is approved by the Chinese Central Government. It features real-size object displays, trade discussions, technical exchanges and flying demonstrations. The Zhuhai Airshow Co., Ltd. is the organizer of China International Aviation & Aerospace Exhibition (aka Airshow China). Since the advent of Airshow China in 1996, it has been successfully held on 5 occasions .It has grown rapidly into one of the most influential international airshows, one that encourages trade and specialization together. It represents the advanced technological trends of current international aerospace as well as displaying the developments of international aerospace. The China Air Show has become one of five most prominent air shows in the world.
Dongguan Electronic Expo
The Dongguan Electronic Expo is short for the Chinese Dongguan International Computer communication and Consumer Electronic Products Expo. It has been held once a year since its inauguration in 1999.It's one of the four top Computer Products Expositions in the world.
After six years of cultivation and effort from the local government, the Expo has been experienced a transformation from governmental actions to market-facing, and from an achievement-based show to a professional show. The Dongguan Electronic Expo brings hundreds of enterprises together in Dongguan. They come from all provinces and cities in China and America, Japan, South Korea, Hong Kong, Macao, Taiwan and other locations. During every show, about 30,000 buyers at home and abroad take part in the fair. Over twenty countries such as France, America, Australia, Pakistan, Komoros, Nigeria, Saudi Arabia, Thailand, Bangladesh, Sri Lanka, Iran, Brazil, South Africa, West Africa, Indonesia, Canada, Turkey, Spain, India etc. and some regions all send delegations to visit the fair. The Fair becomes more and more specialized and internationalized each year.
Shantou International Food Expo
The Shantou International Food Expo was inaugurated in 1999. It has been held six terms successfully. Hundreds of enterprises from more than twenty countries and regions, such as America, France, Japan, South Korea, Thailand, Hong Kong, Taiwan, etc. and many related enterprises from over thirty provinces and cities take part in the exposition. The average attendance during each exposition is over 100,000. Attendees appreciate the social benefits, and at the same time, the exhibitors gain excellent economic benefits.
